Hi, I’m Mel Cotterill, a therapeutic counsellor based in Devon, UK.
I offer a positive counselling experience which makes you feel safe, understood, and respected. I believe that building connection and trust is the foundation of my relationship with you.
I have experience in working with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, neuro-divergency, and issues around self-confidence. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I am down to earth, warm and non judgemental. I am intuitive, and I can listen and really hear what clients say, but I also have the knowledge, and skills to enable clients to progress. Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – you can connect in the way that works best for you, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if you feel a different match would suit you better, it is possible to switch therapists at any time. Online therapy offers an effective and adaptable option for many common mental health and life concerns.
