MeiLin Boykin is a licensed professional counselor with more than 15 years of experience providing therapy to individuals and families. She is licensed to practice in both South Carolina and Georgia and maintains her practice from her location in Georgia.
Over the course of her career she has worked with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, work-life balance, parenting and family conflicts, relationship and intimacy-related issues, grief and loss, anger management, self-esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, and ADHD. Her background also includes supporting clients with a history of substance use and military personnel.
MeiLin builds rapport and seeks to understand each person’s concerns using Motivational Interviewing, then continues the work through client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused approaches. She offers a compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging presence without judgment, helping clients identify and develop solutions that come from within themselves.
Known for bringing a vibrant and enthusiastic energy to sessions, MeiLin enjoys both listening and talking with clients, and she incorporates light, fun conversation and laughter when it feels appropriate. She looks forward to guiding clients on their journey toward wellness and hopes they will choose her as a partner in that process.
For many common mental health concerns—such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions—online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It can be a practical option for people seeking support for those issues.
A primary benefit is convenience. Clients can connect in the format that works best for them, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. Those options make it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and varied lifestyles.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would like a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, flexible way to pursue growth and address everyday concerns with professional support.
