Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello there, my name is Mark Shokair and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I hold a masters degree in counseling psychology from California State University East Bay. I’ve been working in the mental health field for more than 15 years. During that time I have worked with many different populations including children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have worked with varying levels of severity ranging from mild dysfunction to severe disorders. Currently I work in a private practice setting with people who struggle with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger management, work problems and relationship problems.
I tailor my approach to each client individually to help each individual achieve their goals. Sometimes people want to change the way they think, others simply want to feel better. There are times when you feel stuck where life just isn’t working and you need to do something different to keep moving forward. In order to help each individual achieve their goals I use varying modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused and Insight Oriented Techniques. Whatever challenges we face in life we can find the answers. Let’s work together to get your life moving again. I look forward to speaking with you.

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is the flexibility it provides – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their life, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating professionals are licensed, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be helpful. For many people seeking support for everyday and common mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical pathway to care.
