Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Louisiana. I have worked in social services for over 25 years in various capacities–as a direct care worker in a group home for developmentally-disabled adults, as a staff worker at a homeless shelter for teens, as a licensed counselor in a crisis counseling program in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) working with children, teens, and adults who receive Medicaid. The clients I have helped have struggled with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, Panic Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.
I see counseling as a way to help someone express feelings and thoughts in a safe environment, possibly for the first time. My approach combines Rogerian, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Motivational Enhancement.
Counseling/therapy is a challenging endeavor and an adventure. I find those who stick with it come out more mature and more whole.

Mark Haase is a Louisiana-based therapist who brings two decades of clinical experience to his work and more than 25 years of service in social service roles. He began his career as a direct care worker in a group home serving developmentally disabled adults and has served as a staff worker at a teen homeless shelter. His experience also includes crisis counseling in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina and practice as a Licensed Mental Health Professional working with children, teens, and adults who receive Medicaid.
Mark has supported clients coping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, panic disorder, and bipolar disorder. He approaches counseling as a chance to help people express thoughts and feelings in a safe setting, sometimes for the first time, and blends person-centered (Rogerian) principles with cognitive-behavioral techniques and motivational enhancement strategies.
Counseling, in Mark’s view, is both demanding and adventurous; clients who remain engaged in the process often emerge with greater maturity and a stronger sense of wholeness. He is licensed in Louisiana to practice as a marriage and family therapist and as a professional counselor, and he offers an approachable, professional style for individuals and families seeking support.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and coping with life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most cases.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the mode of communication that works best for them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online care, and if a different therapeutic fit is desired, clients are free to switch therapists. This combination of effectiveness and convenience makes online therapy a practical option for many people seeking support.
