Marita Lashko

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a qualified accredited BACP therapist working in the UK. My experience over the last 14 years has involved adult work in a doctors’ surgery, a low cost charity organisation, private practice, and in schools working with parents, staff and pupils. I work in London with multi-cultural communities, and therefore understand cultural issues and as being of European heritage myself, I can appreciate the impact of cultural diversity.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues including, anxiety, grief & loss, depression, self-harm, low self-esteem, relationship issues and trauma.

My way of working is integrative. The foundation of my approach is relational/person-centred. I use models such as solution-focused, psychodynamic, trauma focused
and mindfulness. Psychoeducation supports the understanding of the mind and body connection.

My therapy style is based on compassion and respect. It takes courage to ask for help. Sometimes it is unclear why we feel a certain way or react in a certain way. Our sessions
will give you time and safe place to reflect, refresh your thinking, explore yourself experiencing deeper self-awareness and regulation. The time in the sessions will help establish your goals (and after therapy too), and empower you to map out your next steps in an honest and non-judgemental therapeutic connection.

Change can be difficult and challenging. Hope you take the first step.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Online therapy can be an effective option for many of the most common concerns people bring to therapy, such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges and navigating life changes. Research and clinical experience show that, for these issues, remote sessions often deliver outcomes comparable to traditional in-person work.

A key benefit of online therapy is flexibility – people can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to attend sessions consistently and to integrate therapeutic work into a busy schedule.

All therapists involved in online work are licensed professionals, and clients retain the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many, remote therapy provides accessible, practical support while addressing the same concerns that bring people to face-to-face therapy.
