Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have a warm, interactive style working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am highly trained and experienced (30 years licensed) in helping you create an authentic life in which you are comfortable being who you are and live a successful life. I have helped many folks in alternative and creative lifestyles, and a specialty in male psychology.
My approach
I utilize a few approaches depending on your therapeutic needs. I have been trained in both Eastern and Western psychologies while obtaining my doctorate at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I can work longer term to explore the unconscious roots of your issues using dreams and Jungian psychology. We can work short term using Brainspotting, Music Imagery Therapy, and cognitive tools like CBT for healing trauma and PTSD. If you need to change unsatisfying relationship patterns, I have had great training in that area as well. Meditation has been important in my life, and I can teach you how to integrate spiritual and metaphysical resources for peace and continued growth.
My focus
I create a safe empathic space for you to talk freely, trust yourself, and process feelings of grief and stress, and expansiveness.
My communication style
I invite truthfulness with each other and provide a compassionate and loving presence to support you through life’s challenges. I teach psycho-spiritual tools to bring with you outside of our session.
My journey to mental healthcare
I will share my journey in the sessions as appropriate.
My first session with you
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.

Mariah Larkin brings a warm, interactive style to work with adults facing anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship concerns. With 30 years as a licensed clinician, she focuses on helping people build authentic lives in which they can be comfortable and successful while honoring who they are.
She has experience supporting clients from alternative and creative lifestyles and notes a specialty in male psychology. Mariah blends training from both Eastern and Western psychological traditions gained while earning her doctorate at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her credential is CA LMFT 27311, a California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Mariah offers both longer-term exploration and shorter-term, skills-based work depending on each person’s needs. For deeper exploration she may draw on Jungian approaches and dream work to examine unconscious roots. For more focused healing she uses Brainspotting, Music Imagery Therapy, and cognitive tools such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address trauma and PTSD. She is also trained to help clients shift unsatisfying relationship patterns and integrate meditation, spiritual, and metaphysical resources when appropriate.
In sessions she creates a safe, empathic environment that encourages honest expression, grieving, stress processing, and emotional growth. Her communication style is compassionate and supportive, inviting truthfulness and offering psycho-spiritual tools clients can use outside of therapy. Mariah may share aspects of her own journey when it supports the work.
The first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, review background, and talk about what brings someone to therapy. Mariah acknowledges that first appointments can feel nerve-racking and approaches the process step by step, guiding clients as they begin building their therapeutic work together.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major advantage of receiving care online is flexibility. Clients can choose the mode of connection that fits their needs and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to attend sessions consistently and integrate therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals deliver online therapy, and if someone feels the need for a different fit they can switch therapists at any time. This format can support steady therapeutic progress while offering practical options for scheduling and communication that suit individual preferences.
