Maggie Lemley

Maggie Lemley creates a nonjudgmental environment where people can explore possibilities and work toward practical solutions. She focuses on helping individuals gain awareness, build insight, and process emotions to support sustained personal growth and reduce emotional suffering in an effective, timely way.

She brings 15 years of clinical experience and works with a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and abuse, grief, relationship and intimacy-related issues, LGBT concerns, family conflicts, parenting challenges, anger management, eating and sleeping disorders, attention-deficit issues, self-esteem difficulties, career-related stress, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue. Maggie also offers coaching support when appropriate.

Within the last five years she has provided therapy for military service members and their families. Earlier in her career she worked extensively in community mental health and spent 11 years serving clients with severe and persistent mental illness. Her roles have included psychiatric case manager, program assistant on an intensive outpatient team, therapist, and assessment clinician. During graduate school she completed an internship at Davidson County’s Correctional Development Center, where she provided therapy for female inmates.

Maggie maintains ongoing professional development and regularly attends trainings and conferences each year to stay current with clinical approaches. Her formal trainings include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and she has participated in workshops on couples communication, alternative lifestyles, and military culture. She is licensed to practice as a professional counselor in Tennessee and as a professional clinical counselor in Kentucky.
