Dr. Lychene Saah (pronounced Lee-chen Sah) invites individuals to seek support rather than travel life’s path alone. She is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas with four years of clinical experience, and she combines formal training in mental health with an analytical approach shaped by scientific study.
Dr. Saah holds a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling with a focus on Mental Health Counseling, and she earned a doctorate in Christian Counseling. She also completed a second doctorate and additional academic degrees in science and education from universities on three different continents, which contributes to a broad and interdisciplinary perspective.
Her work focuses on common and complex concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, parenting difficulties, marital and family conflicts, relationship challenges, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), fear, and issues related to self-worth and self-esteem. As a certified and experienced Educational Counselor, she has supported hundreds of young people preparing for college, with many gaining entrance to top universities.
Dr. Saah uses an eclectic, individualized approach to counseling and adapts methods to meet each client’s needs. Her therapeutic toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based approaches, coaching, Motivational Interviewing, and Christian Counseling when requested. With a detail-oriented and analytical style, she aims to help individuals find a more pleasant and manageable journey through life.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that works best for them - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide care through these remote options, and if a different fit is needed, it is generally possible to switch therapists. For many people, the combination of accessibility and professional support makes online therapy a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health needs.
