I am licensed mental health counselor in Florida with over 5 years of professional work experience. My experience comes from providing direct mental health and career counseling for teens and adults with a variety of presenting issues including stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, career difficulties, & depression.
I offer a safe and friendly environment for all who are motivated to find inner peace, healing, and GROWTH. It is evident through psychological research and through our own experiences that our thoughts, above our physical circumstances, can become our biggest obstacles in life.
While I do my best to tailor my style to each individual client’s unique experience the style of therapy I utilize most is called Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). REBT is a form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). It uses mindful awareness to help you identify the thoughts behind the choices you are making in a rational manner.
I can help you learn the A B Cs of how our thoughts affect our feelings. We will work together to identify those irrational beliefs that cause us pain and stress so you can minimize dysfunctional feelings and get back to living a meaningful and fulfilling life.
My experience is varied, and across settings, as I have provided individual and group therapy in community mental health agencies, school settings, and treatment facilities. I believe that our relationships and our environment are important pieces to what makes us who we are and I look forward to exploring those with you as we build a therapeutic relationship, built on compassion, respect, and openness.
