Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Loretta Collins, and I am an LCPC in the state of Maryland. After a 25-year career in sales, I decided to return to school and get my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work from a cognitive-behavioral and person-centered methodology. Therapy is not one-sided but a partnership. My background is working with people suffering from substance use disorders and other dual diagnoses, including PTSD, MDD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, to name a few. One of the reasons I became a counselor was to stop the stigma of psychological health. Until we start referring to brain disorders on the same par with physical problems, psychological health will continue to be considered in a “less than” manner.

Loretta Collins (Begg) is a licensed clinical professional counselor practicing in Maryland. She is licensed in Maryland as an LCPC, license number LC12064, and has four years of clinical experience.
After a 25-year career in sales, she returned to school and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her approach blends cognitive-behavioral techniques with a person-centered framework, emphasizing collaborative work between therapist and client rather than a one-sided process.
Her clinical background includes working with people experiencing substance use disorders and other co-occurring conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. One of the reasons she entered the counseling field was to challenge the stigma surrounding psychological health and to advocate for viewing brain disorders on the same level as physical health concerns.
Many people wonder whether online therapy truly makes a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – people can connect in the way that fits their needs, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and maintain consistency in care.
All therapists in these services are licensed professionals, and if someone feels they would benefit from a different fit, it is possible to switch therapists at any time.
