Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in the UK with 6 years of professional work. I work from an integrative humanistic model incorporating a range of theories including Gestalt and person centred.
I originally trained in Ireland where the training involved group work. This enabled me to tune into the presenting body language and use it as a guide in the therapy room. This can be useful to raise awareness to the clients spoken and the unspoken words in the body language.
I have a strong awareness to the body and the Somatic experience.
I also trained with Relate and hold a relational qualification which assists me with relationship issues. I draw upon the systemic model to assist with recognising transgenerational patterns to help my clients identify their own patterns.
I have worked with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, and career difficulties. I have worked with individuals, couples, and dyadically with parents and their children.
I am keen to learn new approaches and regularly engage in CPD.
I feel as a counsellor it is important for me to seek counselling to enable me to be as present with clients as I can.
I believe you are the expert in you. It is a privilege for me to work in this profession.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is scary and takes courage. I hope I can support you to manage the challenges of life.

Lisa Dobinson is a UK-licensed therapist with 7 years of professional experience who works from an integrative humanistic framework. She draws on a range of theories, including Gestalt and person-centred approaches, to tailor therapy to each person’s needs.
Originally trained in Ireland, Lisa’s training included substantial group work, which helped her develop sensitivity to body language and non-verbal cues. She brings a strong somatic awareness to her practice and uses attention to the bodily experience to highlight both spoken and unspoken material in the therapy room.
Lisa also trained with Relate and holds a relational qualification that supports her work with relationship concerns. She uses systemic ideas to help clients recognise transgenerational patterns and identify the ways those patterns influence current life and relationships.
Her clinical experience includes supporting people with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, and career-related challenges. She has worked with individuals, couples, and dyadic parent-child pairs.
Committed to ongoing learning, Lisa regularly undertakes continuing professional development and also seeks counselling herself to remain as present and effective for clients as possible. She works from the belief that each person is the expert in their own life and considers it a privilege to support people as they make courageous steps toward change.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered online can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person work.
One major benefit is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the way that best fits your life, whether that is through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to access support around work, family, and other commitments.
Therapy offered online is provided by licensed professionals, and people are free to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many, online therapy provides a practical, evidence-informed route to address everyday concerns and cope with life’s transitions.
