Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I completed my Master of Social Work degree in April of 1998 while working full-time . I had begun volunteering at a domestic violence shelter and was looking at methods for helping these at -risk families. My first job post Master’s degree was working in the foster care system. That led me to a better understanding of child welfare, family dynamics, and the legal system. I then moved back to my hometown in northeast Michigan to work as an infant mental health specialist. This opportunity gave me more skill in working with trauma, family therapy, and being comfortable in the client’s own home. My work at the local hospital’s behavioral health services expanded my ability to provide individual psychotherapy to people of all ages and background. I also developed proficiancy in working with in-patient units for substance abuse and mental illness. during my employment there. My move to the VA was a wonderful journey and extremely educational. At this point in my life I feel that my knowledge, background, and skills has made me a well rounded therapist. I am comfortable utilizing different modalities with a variety of clients.

Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person treatment.
One of the primary advantages is convenience. Individuals can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their needs and schedule best – whether by video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to maintain regular appointments.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, this combination of accessibility and professional care makes online therapy a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health concerns and life challenges.
