Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the stated of Louisiana. I have over 11 years of counseling experience, working with adults, children and families struggling with challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, life transitions and trauma. I work from a strength-based approach, pulling from theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This integrative approach allows the ability to tailor counseling to meet individual needs. I enjoy helping others explore personal strengths and possibilities, elements that can be important parts of healing, growth and change. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was an educator, with over 10 years of classroom experience.
I believe that the counseling process is a collaborative one, and that building rapport is very important. Let’s work together to create goals, and move toward meeting these goals. I work from a place of warmth, respect and encouragement. We all face challenges from time to time. Reaching out for support can be the first step in identifying thoughts and behaviors that are not working for us, and can prompt us to explore new paths toward growth.
I welcome working with you on your journey.

With 12 years of clinical experience, Laurie has worked with adults, children and families facing concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, life transitions and trauma. She also provides care for a broader range of issues including relationship and intimacy difficulties, self-esteem struggles, addictions, grief, anger management, career-related problems, attention differences, mood disorders, and compassion fatigue.
Her counseling style is strength-based and integrative, drawing on evidence-informed methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) so treatment can be adapted to each person’s needs. Before entering the counseling field she spent more than a decade as an educator, bringing that classroom experience to her therapeutic work. Laurie approaches therapy as a collaborative process that prioritizes building rapport, setting meaningful goals and moving toward those goals with warmth, respect and encouragement. She welcomes the opportunity to support others as they explore new paths forward.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or life transitions, remote therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care for most clients.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their life and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. That range of options can make it easier to maintain regular appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Online care is provided by licensed professionals who bring training and clinical experience to virtual sessions, and it is possible to change therapists if a different fit is needed. For many people, remote therapy offers practical access to skilled mental health support without sacrificing quality of care.
