Laura Hattrup recognizes how overwhelming feelings of stress, worry, anxiety, anger, frustration or exhaustion can be, and how difficult it can feel to ask for help. She acknowledges the courage it takes to seek change and considers that first step an important part of the healing process.
Her approach is focused on helping people identify their existing strengths, resilience, skills and resources while navigating challenging times. Over the course of 16 years, she has worked with diverse populations including children, adults, individuals and families, addressing a range of mental health concerns as well as grief, loss, low self-image and major life transitions.
Laura aims to offer a safe, supportive and nonjudgmental space to process pain, develop healthier coping strategies and foster recovery. She works collaboratively to help people discover strengths, find their voice and create more moments of joy, with the goal of improving overall quality of life.
Laura is a licensed clinical social worker with authorization to practice in both Kansas and Missouri, and she brings more than a decade and a half of clinical experience to her work supporting clients through change and healing.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and practice have shown that virtual sessions work well for these issues.
One key benefit of online therapy is flexibility. People can connect with their therapist in the way that fits their life best - via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging - which can make consistent care easier to maintain around work, family and other commitments.
Licensed professionals deliver online therapy, and if a different fit is needed it is possible to switch therapists at any time. For many, virtual therapy offers a convenient, reliable path to consistent support and progress.
