Dr. Kylie Rogalla is a counselor and counselor educator with 14 years of clinical and teaching experience. She holds a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, a master’s degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Coaching.
Her clinical background includes work with a wide range of young clients in alternative high schools, private elementary schools, and programs supporting youth with diverse special needs. Much of her primary practice has focused on women, children, and families in crisis and recovering from trauma, including six years working in emergency non-profit shelters for people affected by intimate partner violence and co-occurring substance use.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Rogalla is a professor in a master’s-level counseling program where she teaches and supervises counselors-in-training, publishes research in the field, and presents at local, state, and national conferences. She is a licensed professional counselor in Colorado, a licensed clinical addictions counselor, holds national certification as a counselor, and is board certified in telemental health.
Her therapeutic approach blends multiple theoretical models tailored to each client’s needs, with a strong emphasis on deepening self-awareness as the foundation for lasting change. She helps clients examine irrational beliefs, cognitive distortions, existential anxieties, and potential insecure attachment patterns, and explores the often-unconscious intentions behind behaviors that cause repeated problems in relationships and daily life. Dr. Rogalla recognizes the complex defenses that develop after trauma and believes that no one is broken, “crazy,” or hopeless; many people simply need support to understand why they think, feel, and act as they do so those defenses can begin to loosen their hold.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
A major benefit of working online is flexibility - clients can choose the format that suits them best, whether that is video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to stay connected when life gets complicated.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit would be better, it is possible to switch providers. For many individuals, online therapy offers an accessible and practical way to address everyday mental health concerns while maintaining continuity of care.
