Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome to the Better Help Community. Thank you for trusting us to help you. My name is Kristin Scott-Groves and I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. I have worked as a clinical therapist and college professor, teaching psychology of lifespan development. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Social Work degree. I currently hold a certification as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Specialist in Anger Management (CSAM), and a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT). I have worked with different populations including military members and their families, as well as children, adolescents, and teenagers. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, parenting, and adjustment to change.
My approach to therapy is client centered. You are the expert on your life and you determine the direction and depth of therapy. Through a strengths-based and solutions-focused lens, I help guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This can help clients find the unhelpful and unhealthy thought patterns as well as learn healthier ways of thinking.
I applaud you for taking the first step in better health. I know that starting something new can be scary. If you are ready to take the next step in making healthy changes in your life, I will work with you on your path to success.

Many people wonder whether therapy delivered online can truly help. For a wide range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and managing life transitions – online therapy is comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One clear benefit is flexibility. Clients can meet with licensed professionals in the format that suits them best, choosing from video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to connect in ways that feel most comfortable.
All therapists providing online services are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists if they decide a different fit would be better. Online therapy can be a practical option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health challenges, while offering the same focus on therapeutic goals and treatment approaches used in face-to-face care.
