Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in New York with 8 years of professional work experience. I have experience working with adolescents and adults who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficulty with life transitions, lack of communication skills, obsessive compulsive disorders, body dysmorphia, lack of self-esteem, eating disorders, and chronic illness. I bring warmth, compassion, and humor to the therapeutic process and relationship.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist in stress reduction and changing negative thought patterns to become an active leader in your care and form healthy ways to cope. I promote positive mantras and positive thinking to have you live in a healthier environment in order to be productive and achieve your goals.
My passion is to help people, make sure they feel understood and supported. I do my best to assist them in living a more satisfying life. The little things help create big changes and I appreciate those things in you that you often don’t see. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment to help you obtain the support and feedback you need.
Therapy is about exploring, experimenting, discovering, and being vulnerable. In our therapy together you will learn to increase self-compassion and mindfulness, and your ability to sit with uncertainty and bear witness to uncomfortable feelings and body sensations. You will gain awareness of the role negative core beliefs and thoughts have upon mood and learn how to challenge those negative thought patterns. You will learn to set appropriate boundaries by asserting feelings, recognizing wants and needs, and identifying the role shame and guilt might play in causing unhealthy, harmful, stale, and inauthentic behaviors.
My availability is catered to stay at home mothers, college students, or those who work from home or can utilize a lunch break. I am looking forward to meeting with you and working together to start this journey of yours!

Kristen Wojtuniak is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in New York with eight years of professional experience. She has worked with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, difficulties with life transitions, communication challenges, obsessive compulsive disorders, body dysmorphia, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and chronic illness.
Kristen brings warmth, compassion, and a sense of humor to the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, using that approach to reduce stress, shift negative thinking patterns, and encourage clients to take an active role in their care while building healthier coping strategies.
Her practice emphasizes practical tools such as positive mantras and constructive thinking to foster a more productive and balanced daily life. Kristen helps clients increase self-compassion and mindfulness, develop greater tolerance for uncertainty, and attend to uncomfortable feelings and bodily sensations with curiosity rather than avoidance.
In therapy with Kristen, clients work to identify and challenge negative core beliefs that affect mood, learn to assert feelings and set appropriate boundaries, and explore how shame and guilt may be contributing to unhelpful or inauthentic behaviors. She values small, meaningful changes and aims to help people recognize strengths they may not see in themselves.
Her availability is tailored to stay-at-home parents, college students, and people who work from home or can use a lunch break for sessions. Kristen looks forward to meeting prospective clients and supporting them as they begin their therapeutic journey.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, remote therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the mode of connection that fits their schedule and comfort level – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if a different fit is desired. This variety of access and choice helps many people engage in consistent, meaningful therapeutic work without needing to rearrange their entire day.
