Kris Fant approaches counseling as a shared journey of exploration and imagination, offering steady support when life feels unsettled. Licensed to practice in both Oregon and Washington, Kris combines formal training with practical experience to walk alongside people as they clarify goals, uncover long-held hopes, and build a life that feels more aligned with their values.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University and earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. Before and after graduate school she gained experience in teaching, group leadership, crisis stabilization, and domestic violence advocacy, and for the past eight years she has worked as a mental health counselor.
Kris works with individuals facing mood concerns, anxiety and stress, reactions to traumatic events, grief, and life transitions. Her specialty is health behaviors, with extensive training helping people make changes around sleep, persistent pain, substance use concerns, exercise, and relaxation. Her style is warm and strengths-focused, helping clients recognize the resources they already bring and build on them to improve health, relationships, and work life.
In clinical work she draws from psychodynamic, attachment, Rogerian, and behavioral perspectives to create a holistic, individualized approach. Kris welcomes people who want to make changes but feel uncertain where to begin, and she is available to explore current circumstances, clarify direction, and support movement toward meaningful goals.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or major life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility - people can connect in the format that best fits their life and comfort level, whether that’s a video session, a phone call, live chat, or in-app messaging. That adaptability makes it easier to include therapy around work, family, and other responsibilities.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals who are trained to work remotely, and if someone decides they want a different match they can switch therapists at any time. For many, online therapy offers an accessible, practical option for getting consistent support and working toward goals from wherever they are.
