Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Kim Ream and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the state of Missouri. I have approximately 10 years’ experience counseling individuals (children and adults), couples and families. I have done crisis in-home family counseling, I have done private counseling at a counseling office, and I have worked in higher education counseling college students. I have worked with a variety of clinical issues and problems like family conflict, blended family problems, adjustment to life stages problems, addictions, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and many others. I am specifically trained in Gottman Method for couples-level 1, EMDR, Grief and Loss, and currently working on certification in integrative medicine: fitness and nutrition as it relates to mental health.
I utilize person-centered, solution focused, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral approaches. Also, as a marital and family therapist, I do use a systemic approach. I do not feel there is a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. Each person I see is unique, their problems are unique, therefore, my approach to assisting anyone is tailored to the uniqueness and complexity of the problems they are experiencing.

Kimberly Ream is a licensed counselor and marriage and family therapist practicing in Missouri with 14 years of clinical experience. She works with children and adults, as well as couples and families, and combines practical skills with an approachable style to address a wide range of concerns.
Her background includes crisis in-home family counseling, private practice work in a counseling office, and counseling college students in higher education settings. She has experience helping people navigate family conflict, blended family challenges, adjustments to life stages, addictions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, among other issues.
Kim is trained in the Gottman Method at the couples-level 1, in EMDR, and in grief and loss work. She is also pursuing a certification in integrative medicine focused on how fitness and nutrition relate to mental health.
Her therapeutic approach draws from person-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral techniques, and she uses a systemic perspective in her role as a marital and family therapist. She does not apply a one-size-fits-all model – instead, Kimberly tailors her work to the unique complexity of each person, couple, or family she sees.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes – online therapy can be as effective as in-person sessions. Research and practice show that remote counseling often produces similar outcomes for these kinds of issues.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with their therapist using the format that works best for them – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make attending sessions easier to fit into a busy schedule.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if a different match is preferred it is possible to switch to another therapist. Online therapy offers a practical option for many who need consistent, accessible support while managing everyday life.
