She began her professional path after earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2000 and gained experience working in behavioral health with both children and adults as well as in a skilled nursing facility.
Following that early work, Kimberly spent ten years as an elementary school teacher, focusing on helping students learn and achieve academic success. Drawn back to social work, she completed a Master of Social Work in 2017 and finished clinical training to obtain her LCSW credential in 2020. Kimberly continues to pursue professional development and holds certification as a Case Manager through the Commission for Case Manager Certification. She is furthering her knowledge in areas such as trauma, ethical issues affecting older adults, and approaches to support people facing life-changing events and stressors.
Her clinical experience includes helping clients explore life purpose, address career and relationship concerns, resolve family conflicts, cope with grief and loss, and build motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. She approaches each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, tailoring conversations and treatment plans to the individual’s needs. Kimberly aims to support and empower clients as they take courageous steps toward a more fulfilling and happier life.
Many people ask whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or major life transitions, remote therapy has been found to be similarly effective to traditional in-person care.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapeutic support into a busy life.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. Online therapy offers a practical and adaptable option for many people seeking support.
