Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
First let me say how happy I am that you are seeking counseling support. That takes a lot of courage and shows that you want more for yourself and your life!
I’ve been in the social work field for 25 years working non-profit, in the schools and for the last 13 years in private clinical practice. I also serve as a Health and Wellness Coach for clients all over the United States as my own battle with an auto-immune condition led me to find a more natural path. My overall mission is to bring freedom through health – body, soul and spirit – because when we feel better, we do better! My overall areas of expertise are in helping people get “un-stuck” through a better understanding of how they are wired and how they’ve been wounded. I help clients discover the life they most desire to live and teach them how to get into alignment with that desire. I use cognitive behavioral therapy approaches, narrative therapy, psychodynamic and solution focused approaches but I love to use experiential exercises to help people get out of their head and into their heart to find the answers they need for moving forward into their fullest life.
I look forward to working with you,
Kimber

Kimber Brokaw brings 16 years of clinical experience and a background in social work to her therapeutic practice in Illinois. She has worked in non-profit settings, within schools, and in private clinical practice, and she also supports clients nationwide as a Health and Wellness Coach after her own experience with an autoimmune condition led her to pursue a more natural approach to well-being.
Kimber’s mission is to help people find greater freedom through improved health of body, soul and spirit – when we feel better, we do better. She focuses on helping people become unstuck by exploring how they are wired and how past wounds continue to shape their lives. Kimber guides clients to identify the life they most want and to take practical steps to align their choices with that vision.
Her therapeutic approach blends cognitive behavioral techniques, narrative and psychodynamic perspectives, and solution-focused strategies, with a strong preference for experiential exercises that move clients out of their heads and into their hearts to uncover the answers they need for moving forward. Kimber is licensed to practice social work in multiple states – holding independent social work licensure in Iowa and licensure as a clinical social worker in Arizona – and she maintains a warm, professional style aimed at practical growth and lasting change. She looks forward to working with you.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or transitions in life, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is the flexibility it provides – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and maintain continuity of care.
Those seeking help will work with licensed professionals, and it is possible to request a different therapist if the initial match is not ideal. Online therapy offers an accessible route to address everyday mental health concerns while providing multiple ways to engage with a therapist.
