Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

My name is Ms Kemi Folarin; I am a qualified integrative counsellor and founder of Free to Talk. I work in an integrative way with clients, which means I draw upon different modalities, combining Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches. My approach to counselling is to provide a safe environment where clients, can place total focus on their needs, in a non-judgmental space, feel comfortable, listened to and understood.

My role in the room is to support clients to explore what is going on for them, leading to a deeper level of awareness and while encouraging clients draw upon their inner resources to overcome and achieve their desired outcomes. All sessions are client lead and at a pace that suits the client’s needs.
I see all clients as individuals and unique, holding the potential to be able to develop greater self-awareness, realizing your potential and persisting the ability to achieve your desired outcome. Whether that being around letting go, moving forward or connecting with ones yourself I aim to support clients in that process. I offer clients a friendly, warm space to discuss anything and everything, free from judgment. Clients are encouraged to be their authentic selves and to explore both internal and external conflicts.

My background is being a CEO of a charity that works with children, young people and the wider community since 2007. I hold a degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Masters in Youth and community and the author of The Best H.E.L.P Book which stands for stands for Holistic Examples of Learned Practice.
Throughout my professional career, I have held a passion for helping others to reach their full potential, using a wide range of approaches. I love to travel and enjoy reading personal development books. Improving self-awareness, finding your inner voice and working towards being the best version of you is what I stand for. I work alongside my clients to identify and support positive belief changes which will enable the client to acknowledge what they want, change what they can and accept or make peace what they can’t change.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or coping with life changes, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.

One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it much easier to fit therapy into a busy life.

All therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy provides a practical way to access professional support while accommodating individual preferences and schedules.
