Kate Moore is a UK-licensed integrative counsellor who brings six years of professional experience to her work. She holds a BA in Integrative Counselling, a bachelor’s level qualification that reflects formal training in combining different therapeutic approaches to meet each person’s needs.
Kate works with a wide range of concerns including stress and anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, parenting and adoption issues, relationship and family difficulties, intimacy and eating concerns, addictions, self-esteem and career challenges, ADHD and compassion fatigue. She practices in a relational way and believes a strong therapeutic relationship is a solid foundation for exploring present difficulties and building new self-support strategies.
Her training covers transactional analysis, complex PTSD, narcissistic personality disorder, intensive self-reflective grief training, trauma work, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (risk assessment, safeguarding, support), drugs awareness, SEREN trauma workshops, SEREN sexual abuse and domestic violence training, safety in working with trauma, and Transactional Analysis 101. Kate has worked within bereavement support services and at Carmarthenshire counselling services, offering short-term counselling for anxiety, OCD, grief and adoption-related issues, and using relaxation techniques, grounding and transactional analysis.
She has also applied her counselling skills while working in a residential home supporting older people and those with dementia, and in settings with children, young people and parents or carers in group and nature-based work. Having experienced counselling as a client herself, Kate values the reflective space it provides and aims to support others with sensitivity, respect and compassion as they take steps toward change.
