Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi there!
¡Hola hablo Español!
I started my career as a therapist as a graduate intern at an elementary school in Boston, Massachusetts. The passion I had to help children and different struggles drove me to help other populations. My second year internship was in Worcester, Massachusetts through UMASS Medical school at an inpatient hospital for adolescents with severe and pervasive mental illnesses. Most of these adolescents stayed for a minimum of 6 months and had a history of trauma and abuse, Schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. I was also able to work with their families proving counseling, psycho-education, support, etc.
I moved back to my home state of Florida to begin a new path of working in an outpatient and residential substance use clinic for adults. I spent 2 years working with adult females struggling with substance use, trauma, mental illnesses (e.g depression, anxiety, trauma, and Bipolar Disorder). I ended up starting a more permanent path in 2019 at a Children’s Advocacy Center. I see children, adolescents, and adults struggling with various forms of trauma. Most of my clients are victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence, struggling with grief/loss, struggling with life changes, sexuality, etc.
I have worked with a variety of populations in the past but my main focus are individuals dealing with any form of trauma and coping with life changes. Fortunately, these situations can be worked through with the proper tools, support, and a helping professional. Therapy can be extremely beneficial in addressing these struggles.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) in the state of Florida. I use an eclectic approach of using a variety of different therapy modalities that can be used and applied for different struggles. One therapy approach is not a one size fits all. I use what is best for you and your needs! However, I am more prone to use trauma focused therapy approaches such as EMDR, TF-CBT, and DBT. However, all of these modalities help individuals use coping skills, emotion regulation, etc. that can be applied for everyday use.

Justine Alemany is a bilingual therapist who speaks Spanish and practices in Florida. She has six years of clinical experience working across school, hospital, outpatient, residential, and advocacy settings, focusing on trauma and related challenges.
Her clinical work began as a graduate intern at an elementary school in Boston, Massachusetts. In her second-year internship she trained in Worcester, Massachusetts through UMASS Medical School at an inpatient hospital for adolescents with severe and pervasive mental illnesses. Many of those adolescents stayed for a minimum of six months and presented with histories of trauma and abuse as well as diagnoses such as schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. During that time she also provided counseling, psychoeducation, and support to families.
After returning to Florida, she worked in outpatient and residential substance use treatment for adults, spending two years supporting adult females coping with substance use, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, and bipolar disorder. In 2019 she began a longer-term role at a Children’s Advocacy Center, where she sees children, adolescents, and adults dealing with various forms of trauma. Many of her clients are survivors of sexual abuse or domestic violence, or are navigating grief, loss, life changes, and questions about sexuality.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, credentials that reflect formal training to treat trauma and related concerns. Justine uses an eclectic approach, selecting methods that fit each individual rather than relying on a single model. She commonly integrates trauma-focused interventions such as EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help clients build coping skills and emotion regulation strategies applicable to daily life.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person care. It can be a practical option for people seeking accessible mental health support without changing the core benefits of therapy.
One notable advantage is scheduling flexibility. Individuals can meet with a therapist in the format that best suits their routine and comfort level – whether by video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety of communication methods makes it easier to integrate therapy into busy lives.
All therapists offering remote services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy can be a convenient, evidence-informed way to address many everyday mental health concerns while keeping the focus on meaningful therapeutic work.
