About

I believe that my role is to create a safe and trusting environment where we can collaboratively explore life’s challenges, and achieve your personal goals. I do this by providing counseling that’s nonjudgmental and welcoming. Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burdened? We all do sometimes! Come as you are, and be met compassionately where you are. I’m here to help with the heavy stuff, but also believe in the power of self-discovery and mental health maintenance. I’m committed to help you change unhelpful beliefs, build new skills, nurture your self-awareness, and process through anything keeping you from your desired well-being.

I am a licensed therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Texas. I am trained and experienced in treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I earned a master’s degree in social work, clinical mental health from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I have experience working with diverse populations in nonprofit, children’s advocacy center, primary care, private practice, and intensive outpatient mental health treatment settings. I also earned a bachelor of fine arts from the University of North Texas, and may integrate art-informed therapy into my practice when appropriate. I specialize in depression, anxiety, life changes/transitions, identity and self-image, self-esteem, stress management, young adult issues, trauma (sexual, verbal, physical, emotional), and PTSD. I also have experience in guilt and shame, grief and loss, and domestic violence recovery. I am available to you on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

I believe that the client is the expert in their own life -each person has the capacity to choose what is best for them, and to determine the level of influence that challenges have in their life. I’m here to be an empathetic ear, a calm and secure presence, an alternative perspective, and an open mind. Let’s discover your ideal life and optimal wellness together.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

For many of the common concerns people bring to therapy – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

One major advantage is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best: through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.

Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would better meet their needs.
