Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and welcome to my profile!
My primary approach to practice is based on Humanistic Psychology with an emphasis on Strength Based approaches. I started out as a psych major (BA) and later went into social work with a Master’s in Social Work to gain a broad perspective. I am licensed in Montana, Kentucky and Ohio as a LCSW and LISW respectively. I have worked with complex cases and multiple populations (i.e., older adults and their families, Dual Diagnosis and SUD, LGBTQ, forensic, domestic violence, motivational and coaching, depression and anxiety, trauma, poverty and veterans). I enjoy working with people. Often, in therapy, it can be a little tough in the beginning, before you feel better. I have found that sometimes talking about these issues make them real, concrete, which can be very scary. My virtual office is a safe place. There is no judgement. I can work with different situations and work as a team or more of a guide to find the answers in you. In the Humanistic view, our stance is that we all hold the answers inside of us, we sometimes need assistance in bringing them out. I work from the perspective that you are the expert on you. My goal is to help you to feel better and to see a brighter future ahead.
Thank you for your courage to pursue this avenue!
Note: Just a reminder for clients, please make sure you are residing in Montana, Ohio or Kentucky to receive services. If you travel out of town, please make sure to schedule only when back in one of those states. I know it’s tricky during the holidays and school breaks!

Judea Castillo Winter practices from a humanistic, strength-based perspective, helping people identify and build on their existing resources to move toward healthier, more satisfying lives.
She began her education as a psychology major and later completed a Master of Social Work to broaden her clinical training and practice options. Over the past 10 years she has supported a wide range of clients, including older adults and their families, people facing dual diagnosis and substance use concerns, LGBTQ individuals, people involved in forensic or domestic violence contexts, veterans, and others coping with trauma, poverty, depression, and anxiety.
Judea works with many presenting concerns such as stress, anxiety, addictions, grief, career difficulties, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy-related issues, eating disorders, self-esteem challenges, bipolar disorder, and coping with life changes. She also integrates coaching techniques when helpful to support practical goal-setting and motivation.
Her virtual office is offered as a nonjudgmental space where clients can move at their own pace. Judea approaches therapy as a collaborative process – she sees clients as the experts on their own lives and aims to guide them in uncovering their own answers and envisioning a brighter future.
She holds clinical social work licensure in Kentucky and Montana and is also licensed to practice social work in Ohio. Judea is based in Ohio and welcomes those ready to begin therapeutic work.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person care.
A major benefit is convenience – clients can choose the format that suits them best, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapeutic work into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide the care, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they are seeking a different fit. For many individuals, remote therapy offers a practical, effective way to access consistent mental health support.
