Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been a licensed therapist in Indiana for 5 years. I am an eclectic therapist, mostly combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered (Humanistic) counseling. This means that I will work with you to develop skills that fit you. I have experience working with a variety of mental health issues including ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, etc.
Each person is unique, and I will work with you to develop treatment goals that are meant to fit you personally. My goal is not to take the role of an expert who tells you why you are wrong, but to be a guide that can help you discover your own path to recovery. My core focus is to work honestly, openly, and respectfully. I know that the choice to begin seeking therapy can be a hard step. And if you are uncertain of whether you will feel comfortable in therapy, I would be happy to talk and offer you a chance to decide.

John Richardson is a licensed therapist practicing in Indiana with five years of experience and holds IN LMHC 39004128A, an Indiana Licensed Mental Health Counselor credential. He uses an eclectic approach that primarily blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Person Centered humanistic counseling to help clients develop skills that fit their individual lives.
He has experience working with a variety of mental health concerns, including ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, and grief. John approaches treatment as a collaborative process, helping each person define goals tailored to their needs rather than acting as an expert who tells them why they are wrong.
Honesty, openness, and respect are central to his work. Recognizing that beginning therapy can be a difficult step, he offers an initial conversation so someone who is uncertain can decide whether therapy will feel like a good fit.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can actually help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the clearest benefits is greater flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in whichever way feels most comfortable – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and clients retain the option to change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. For many people, the combination of proven effectiveness and flexible access makes online therapy a practical option to consider.
