Jetona Milby, who often goes by “Jet,” is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Kentucky with 17 years of experience. She emphasizes authenticity, transparency, and honesty, and she works best with people who are goal-driven and committed to meaningful, lasting change.
Her work includes experience with non-traditional family structures, women’s health and wellness, intergenerational trauma healing, and the impacts of adoption for everyone involved. She supports healthy relationship development and intentional living, and she helps people recognize and trust their highest potential. Jetona also works with individuals facing low self-esteem, adjustment challenges, depression, anxiety and stress, obsessive-compulsive concerns, grief, and trauma.
Jetona has provided counseling to a wide age range, working with clients from childhood through later adulthood (ages 6 to 75). Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, earned magna cum laude, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling completed with honors. As an undergraduate she contributed to research and presented on positive parenting. She has completed some doctoral coursework and has taken on educational training roles focused on adoption. In addition, Jetona has served as a Board Approved Supervisor and mentor for students and practitioners pursuing licensure, and she has served on the state licensing board for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, blending techniques to fit each person’s needs. Jetona views therapy as a collaborative partnership that relies on client input and feedback to guide progress and goal attainment. She integrates cognitive strategies to address unhelpful thought patterns while maintaining a humanistic belief that the client is the primary authority over their life. She commonly works with women, couples, and young adults to repair unhealthy relational dynamics and build mindful connection to the present. In sessions clients can expect a supportive, steady presence who helps them remain focused on goals while keeping them in the driver’s seat of their own healing.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. It can be an effective option for addressing those everyday emotional and relational challenges.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility - clients can choose the mode of connection that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options often makes it easier to fit therapeutic work into a busy schedule.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, adaptable way to pursue support while maintaining continuity with professional care.
