Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a clinical licensed therapist in Michigan with over 10 years of experience working with children, teens, families and individuals who have experienced trauma including sexual, physical, spiritual and emotional abuse.
My expertise is in childhood trauma and its impacts on the brains and bodies of human beings as grow. Even as adults, we still hold an image of an inner child deep inside. If we experienced a less than ideal childhood, it can manifest in many ways such as struggles in forming relationships (with our own children, an intimate partner or close friend), trust, safety, anxiety, depression, addiction, self harm and suicidal thoughts.
I use many different types of therapeutic approaches such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Rapid Desensitization (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Expressive Arts in order to assist you on your healing process. Your experiences are valuable and unique, and your treatment plan should be as well in order to best meet your needs.
Your decision to overcome whatever adversity you have been faced with is courageous. It will not always be easy, but I am honored to walk with you on this important journey.

Jessie Thompson is a licensed master’s-level social worker practicing in Michigan with more than 10 years of clinical experience supporting children, teens, families, and adults who have survived trauma, including sexual, physical, spiritual, and emotional abuse.
Her clinical focus centers on childhood trauma and the ways early experiences shape the brain and body as people grow. Even in adulthood, many individuals carry an inner child that influences how they relate to others, and early wounds can show up as difficulty forming relationships with one’s own children, an intimate partner, or close friends, as well as struggles with trust, safety, anxiety, depression, addiction, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
To support healing, Jessie Thompson draws on a range of evidence-informed approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and expressive arts techniques. She tailors treatment plans to each person’s unique history and needs so that therapy aligns with their pace and goals.
Choosing to address painful experiences takes courage, and Jessie Thompson honors that decision. She is committed to walking alongside clients through the challenges of recovery and change, offering clinical guidance and compassionate support along the way.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that works best for them, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to connect from a preferred location.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change providers if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to address common mental health and life concerns while working with qualified professionals.
