Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a clinical licensed therapist in Michigan with over 10 years of experience working with children, teens, families and individuals who have experienced trauma including sexual, physical, spiritual and emotional abuse.
My expertise is in childhood trauma and its impacts on the brains and bodies of human beings as grow. Even as adults, we still hold an image of an inner child deep inside. If we experienced a less than ideal childhood, it can manifest in many ways such as struggles in forming relationships (with our own children, an intimate partner or close friend), trust, safety, anxiety, depression, addiction, self harm and suicidal thoughts.
I use many different types of therapeutic approaches such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Rapid Desensitization (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Expressive Arts in order to assist you on your healing process. Your experiences are valuable and unique, and your treatment plan should be as well in order to best meet your needs.
Your decision to overcome whatever adversity you have been faced with is courageous. It will not always be easy, but I am honored to walk with you on this important journey.

Jessie Thompson is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Michigan with ten years of experience supporting children, teens, families, and individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual, physical, spiritual, and emotional abuse.
Her clinical emphasis is on childhood trauma and the ways early adversity affects the developing brain and body. Even into adulthood many people carry an internal sense of an inner child, and when childhood was disrupted this can appear as difficulty forming relationships – with one’s own children, an intimate partner, or close friends – as well as struggles with trust and safety, anxiety, depression, addiction, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts.
Jessie integrates evidence-informed approaches to guide healing, drawing on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Expressive Arts. Treatment plans are shaped to reflect each person’s unique experiences and needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
Choosing to work through difficult experiences takes courage, and Jessie views it as an honor to accompany people on that journey toward greater resilience and well-being. She is licensed in Michigan as a Master Social Worker (MI LMSW 6801106986) and brings a decade of clinical experience to her practice.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been demonstrated to be as effective as traditional in-person care. This modality can support much of the same work as face-to-face sessions for these types of issues.
One major benefit of remote sessions is flexibility. People can connect in the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to maintain continuity of care and to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapy offered online is provided by licensed professionals, and individuals are free to switch therapists at any time if they feel a different match would better meet their needs.
