Jennifer Chebro is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida who brings 20 years of experience helping people address depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, relationship and family conflicts, and a range of other concerns. She works with adults and children from diverse backgrounds and takes an affirming approach to clients who have faced mistreatment because of who they are or what they have experienced.
She focuses on reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma while helping clients build self-esteem, learn healthy coping strategies, and develop assertive communication skills that support getting needs met in constructive ways. She emphasizes that it is not the client’s fault – people do not choose their challenges, and self-blame is neither necessary nor helpful.

Jennifer earned her degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, where she completed a method concentration in mental health and substance abuse. She is also a certified telehealth counselor and offers telehealth counseling sessions, allowing clients to attend from the comfort of their homes when that fits their needs.

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most situations.
One major advantage is convenience and flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits them best, whether that is a video session, a phone call, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to maintain consistency over time.
Licensed professionals provide online care, and if someone decides they would like a different therapeutic fit, it is possible to switch therapists. For many people, the combination of clinical expertise and flexible access makes online therapy a practical and impactful option.
