Janice Miles is a licensed marriage and family therapist with 14 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families in Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University, and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University.
She holds professional licensure as a marriage and family therapist in Michigan and California and has completed specialized trauma training, including certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and certification as a Family Trauma Professional. She is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and AASECT.
Janice has practiced across a range of settings—providing care in clients' homes as well as in inpatient and outpatient environments. She works with people managing anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, sexuality questions, and other life stressors. Her clinical approach draws on evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, dialectical behavior therapy, and sex therapy, tailoring interventions to each person’s goals.
She emphasizes a supportive, nonjudgmental stance to build a strong therapeutic relationship and help clients make meaningful changes. Janice values family, knowledge, and happiness, believing that understanding family patterns clarifies personal motivations and supports positive change — once we know better, we can do better — guiding clients toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
