Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Janet Webb, and I have been teaching and counseling people my entire adult life. My original focus was education; and I worked as a teacher in public, private, and higher education for almost 20 years. Throughout it all, I have been the “listening ear” when others talked about their concerns, so becoming a counselor was just the right path to follow. My 30+ years of counseling experience in Missouri includes work in a community agency, corrections, private practice, public speaking, and insurance.
You are the expert on you, so our work together starts with you helping me understand your concerns and what you want to achieve. Using a variety of techniques including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Reduction, and others we will work together to help you toward your goals. Everyone is different, so we will figure out together what helps you best. We may laugh some and cry some. We will question and explore. But you will always be respected and heard. You may even tell me I have missed the point! Then we back up and try another way to the path that works for you.
My specialties are stress, burn-out, life transitions, anxiety, depression, LGBT concerns including those of family members, chronic illness and pain, trauma recovery, and additions. In over 30 years of experience, I helped adolescents and adults from a variety of backgrounds and cultures along life’s journey. They have learned. I have probably learned more from them. Let’s work together to continue learning how you can reach for the amazing life you deserve.

Janet Webb has spent her adult life in roles that center on listening, teaching, and guiding others, bringing four decades of professional experience to her work. Her early career focused on education, where she taught in public, private, and higher education settings for almost 20 years before moving into full-time counseling.
Her counseling career in Missouri spans more than 30 years and includes work in a community agency, corrections, private practice, public speaking, and with insurance. This breadth of experience informs a practical, seasoned approach to helping adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Janet believes the person in therapy is the expert on their own life, so collaboration begins with understanding a client’s concerns and goals. She draws on a range of methods – client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, solution-focused therapy, trauma reduction, and other approaches – and tailors those methods to what works best for each individual. Sessions may include moments of laughter and moments of sorrow, with steady respect and attentive listening throughout.
She holds a Missouri professional counselor license (MO LPC 000805), which authorizes her to practice counseling in the state. Her specialties include stress, anxiety, LGBT concerns, grief, self-esteem, depression, addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, parenting concerns, anger management, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. Janet invites prospective clients to collaborate on the path toward the fuller life they want to build.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access care from different locations.
These services are provided by licensed professionals and therapists. If the fit is not right, clients have the option to switch therapists at any time to find a better match.
