Janelle Murray is a licensed clinical social worker in Georgia who brings a strengths-based approach to clinical practice. She earned a Master of Social Work from Savannah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University, and she has been practicing therapy since 2014.
Over nine years of clinical work have given her experience with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds, with particular focus on supporting women and adolescents who are survivors of abuse. Her years working as an in-home therapist helped refine skills in building rapport, helping individuals and families feel comfortable with services, and providing crisis management and stabilization.
Janelle draws on techniques for stress management, strengths building, and addressing both interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict. She believes that every person already has assets to build from and works collaboratively with clients to identify solutions and strengthen relationships in order to reach therapeutic goals.
As a Georgia-licensed clinical social worker, she is credentialed to provide clinical social work services (license CSW006593) and applies that training to support clients across a range of concerns.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be comparably effective to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the way that best suits them, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That variety makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule and to choose the communication style that feels most comfortable.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients may change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers accessible, adaptable support for everyday mental health concerns and relationship issues.
