Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi! My name is Jamie and I’ve been a counselor for about a decade now. I specialize in toxic and abusive relationships. That could be with parents, a romantic partner, or friendships. I’m trained in quite a few therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT is one of them) but the most important thing is finding something that works for you. You’re an individual, so counseling will be tailored to what your specific needs are-and maybe you don’t know what you want/need right now because you’ve never been to counseling! That’s fine, too! The relationship between counselor and individual is key. It’s so important to have a trusting bond so I will spend time getting to know you, as well as help. I believe everyone has the power to promote change within themselves but sometimes we all need a little guidance. What an awesome step you’ve made. I know it took courage! I offer a non-judgmental atmosphere, because we’re all people and we all have pasts.
A little about me: I practice yoga and Reiki healing. I like spending my days with my partner and our two boys, reading, and crocheting (very therapeutic!). I also enjoy hiking and traveling. I can’t wait to get to know more about you and help you where you are in your journey.

Jamie Ward is a licensed professional counselor in Texas with ten years of clinical experience supporting people through a wide range of concerns. She focuses on toxic and abusive relationships – whether those dynamics exist with parents, romantic partners, or friends – and also works with stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, addictions, LGBT concerns, intimacy-related issues, sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem difficulties, bipolar disorder, and depression.
Trained in multiple therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Jamie emphasizes finding a method that fits each individual. She tailors counseling to the client rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, and she understands that some people may be unsure what they want or need from therapy at first.
Jamie places great importance on the therapeutic relationship and takes time to build a trusting bond while helping clients clarify goals and develop practical tools. She believes people have the capacity to create meaningful change and offers a non-judgmental, supportive environment to explore that work.
Outside of her professional work, Jamie practices yoga and Reiki healing and enjoys spending time with her partner and their two boys. She also finds reading, crocheting, hiking, and travel restorative, and looks forward to getting to know each client and supporting them where they are in their journey.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to maintain continuity of care.
Therapists who offer remote services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different match. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible and practical route to support and progress.
