Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! I am a deeply compassionate and pragmatic therapist. My collaborative approach balances processing emotions and building new coping strategies that help you make changes in your life. With 20+ years of experience, I understand awareness is not enough to make the changes we long for. We often know the ways we want to change but can’t figure out how to make those happen. I help you take that awareness into action via pragmatic and healthy strategies and solutions. I am passionate about helping folks understand themselves better and connect the mind and body. I am trained in relational therapy, sensorimotor therapy and steeped in social justice values. Additionally, understanding the neurobiology of habits and “what wires together, fires together” supports my clients to make changes in their lives. I look forward to working with you!

Jami Winkel is a deeply compassionate and pragmatic therapist who balances emotional exploration with practical skill-building to help people create meaningful change in their lives.
With 23 years of clinical experience, she recognizes that awareness alone rarely produces the shifts clients seek. Many know what they want to change but struggle to translate that insight into action; she supports that transition by teaching pragmatic, healthful strategies and tailored solutions.
She is committed to helping clients understand the connection between mind and body and to deepening self-knowledge. Jami is trained in relational therapy and sensorimotor therapy, and her work is grounded in social justice values. She also incorporates an understanding of the neurobiology of habits – often described as “what wires together, fires together” – to support sustainable change. CA LMFT 44036 (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California). She looks forward to working with clients.
Many people wonder if online therapy can genuinely help. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is the flexibility it offers. Individuals can choose the mode of connection that feels most comfortable to them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists who offer services online are licensed professionals, and if the fit ever feels off, clients can switch to another therapist. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to get support for everyday mental health concerns and to work toward lasting change.
