She loves dancing and writing poetry and is actively exploring healing movement modalities such as Biodanza.
Her work at I.N.V.A.L.I.A. focuses on building a center that offers effective, powerful tools to help people move toward greater harmony and wholeness. Programs and interventions are tailored using a variety of approaches designed around each person’s unique life experiences and path.
Ivanilda earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma in 2005. She completed a master’s degree in social work at the University of Oklahoma in 2008, and later earned a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies with a concentration in dance/movement therapy and mental health counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2017. She became a registered dance/movement therapist in 2018 and obtained a Massachusetts license to practice independent clinical social work the same year, license number 121715. She also holds a license in clinical social work in Oklahoma, with the licensing noted in March during the 2014–2018 period, and has been a certified laughter yoga leader since May 2015.
Her clinical background includes two years (2006–2008) working in an inpatient adult psychiatric unit as a mental health technician and as a Triage Specialist II. In outpatient settings she has worked with adults facing PTSD, learning challenges, and life transitions. She has led community workshops and groups, including a couple’s workshop titled “The Art of a Positive Relationship” in 2016 and a parents’ support group called “Parents Helping Parents” at a nonprofit community center during 2017–2018. Since 2015 she has also been a contract provider for Teladoc/BetterHelp.
Based in Massachusetts with 17 years of professional experience, Ivanilda specializes in helping people manage stress and anxiety, navigate family conflicts and relationship challenges, process trauma and grief, address depression and self-esteem concerns, explore intimacy-related and parenting issues, and cope with life changes. Her practice also focuses on supporting LGBT individuals, people managing ADHD, those experiencing compassion fatigue, and clients seeking coaching for career difficulties, anger management, and overall resilience.
