Welcome to BetterHelp! You have just made an important step. My name is Heidi Herrick-Lynn and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey since 2015. Prior to moving to New Jersey, I was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1995. I have over 25 years of counseling experience and have worked with clients who have sought treatment for a variety of reasons. My approach is very client-centered and I most often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) , Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Therapy should be a part of your day that you look forward to and expect the highest level of care.
Please know that I provide services during weekday evenings and week-ends.

Heidi Herrick-Lynn is a seasoned mental health professional with 27 years of clinical experience. She has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey since 2015 and previously held licensure as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts beginning in 1995. Her work is rooted in a client-centered approach, and she most often uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help people address stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, depression, life transitions, family conflict, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy issues, sleep difficulties, and parenting challenges.
Heidi aims to make therapy a part of a client’s routine that feels purposeful and supportive while maintaining high standards of care. She offers appointment times during weekday evenings and on weekends to accommodate a range of schedules.
Many people ask whether therapy delivered online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, evidence indicates that remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their lives, including video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering remote care are licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic match is desired, clients generally have the option to switch providers. Overall, online therapy can offer an effective, adaptable way to address many common mental health and relationship concerns while fitting into daily life.
