Hayley Edwards

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a systemically trained counsellor, Systemic therapy really means ‘relational’ as it emphasises the fact that people live in a world with others, not just inside their heads or bodies. I work with relationships, looking at patterns, communication, and desired changes.
My main approach is person-centred therapy, although I will often use other therapeutic approaches and techniques that I believe will work well with my client.

My professional training and first-hand experience allow me to offer a non-judgemental and safe environment, sensitive and intuitive insight, and the therapeutic skills that will help you move forward in your life. I understand that some of the issue’s clients bring to therapy may be deeply private, difficult to talk about, embarrassing, or painful. I have worked with people with many difficult issues and aim to provide a safe space for you to talk about your concerns.

I am passionate about mental health and the benefits of counselling. I believe everyone should be able to have access to one to one therapy .
I have worked with a range of clients who have experienced many difficulties including depression, anxiety, and bereavement. I am frequently undertaking additional training related to mental health and therapeutic approaches to continuously improve my work with clients.

I am a dedicated Counsellor who believes whole heartedly in the counselling process and that any person has the ability and resources within them to create the life they want. I chose to be a counsellor because I know what it is to need help beyond the resources of friends and family. I am here to help and support you. .

About

Hayley Edwards is a systemically trained counsellor who works from a relational perspective – recognising that people exist within networks of relationships rather than as isolated individuals. She focuses on patterns, communication and the changes clients wish to make within their relationships and wider lives.

Her principal approach is person-centred therapy, and she draws on other therapeutic methods and techniques when they suit a client’s needs. This flexible stance allows her to tailor sessions to what is most helpful for each person.

Hayley offers a non-judgemental and safe environment, bringing sensitive, intuitive insight alongside the therapeutic skills needed to support clients in moving forward. She acknowledges that some issues are deeply private, painful or hard to talk about, and has experience working with people facing a wide range of difficult concerns.

Passionate about mental health and the benefits of counselling, Hayley believes in accessible one-to-one therapy. She has supported clients dealing with depression, anxiety and bereavement, and regularly undertakes further training in mental health and therapeutic approaches to refine her practice.

Committed to the counselling process, Hayley believes individuals possess the resources to shape the life they want. Having chosen counselling from personal understanding of needing help beyond friends and family, she is available to help and support clients through their challenges.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people ask whether counselling delivered online can really help. For a range of common difficulties – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles and coping with life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.

A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it much easier to fit therapy into a busy life.

Each therapist is a licensed professional, and clients may switch to a different therapist at any time if they feel a different fit would work better. Online therapy offers comparable support to face-to-face work while giving options that suit different schedules and preferences.
