Gregory Egan is a registered social worker based in Australia with 11 years of experience in therapeutic work. He has worked across government roles - including child protection, mental health, disabilities and services for victims of crime - as well as in non-profit settings focused on child and family work and drug and alcohol support, and in the private sector providing EAP counselling, private consulting and victim support services in NSW.
His professional background also includes teaching at TAFE and ACAP and time in management and other roles, which together contribute to a broad, practice-informed perspective. Gregory has supported people with stress, anxiety, depression, motivation, self-esteem and confidence issues, relationship and family concerns, career and workplace difficulties, and general mental health challenges.
He works from the premise that each person is the expert of their own story and aims to build on existing strengths to improve overall quality of life. Gregory prefers a holistic approach and adapts techniques in collaboration with clients to meet their individual needs.
A highly self-reflective practitioner, he is committed to professional growth and open to feedback to better tailor his support. He provides telephone and video counselling services.
