Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I value the uniqueness of you. No person, conflict, issue, or struggle is the same. Having worked with a varied client population in a wide array of clinical settings, my approach to each client is individualized and client-centered.
Throughout the years, I’ve gained experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they address their own mental illness, life choices, and ineffective behavioral patterns. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and families dealing with interpersonal problems, mood disorders, substance abuse issues, and difficulties stemming from family conflict. Furthermore, I’m a certified provider of multiple evidence-based trauma therapy models including EMDR and TF-CBT.
I utilize a solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral approach and will work collaboratively with you to realize the change you’ve been looking for.

Greg Hilgert approaches each person as an individual, recognizing that no two people, conflicts, or struggles are the same. With 23 years of clinical experience, he tailors care to the specific needs of adolescents, adults, couples, and families rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions.
Greg has extensive experience supporting adolescents and families working through interpersonal problems, mood disorders, substance use concerns, and difficulties that arise from family conflict. He is a certified provider of multiple evidence-based trauma therapies, including EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
His work draws on solution-focused strategies and cognitive-behavioral techniques, and he collaborates with clients to pursue the changes they want to make. Greg is licensed in North Carolina as a clinical mental health counselor (NC LCMHC 11168) and practices in North Carolina.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adapting to life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience indicate that virtual care can produce meaningful progress for these types of issues.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can choose the format that works best for them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to schedule therapy around work, family, and other commitments.
All therapists providing online care are licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed, clients generally have the option to switch providers. This flexibility helps people find the style and support that best match their needs while accessing evidence-informed treatment from wherever they are located.
