About

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alaska. I have over 13 years of experience working with adults and families in the areas of anxiety, depression, relationship issues and parenting problems. My counseling style focuses on building a trusting, authentic, therapeutic relationship. My hope is to create a safe, nonjudgemental environment where clients can explore and examine life’s challenges. Goal setting, skill building and self explorations are helpful in achieving positive outcomes. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2005 with a Masters in Education, focus in Guidance and Counseling. I became certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor in 2015. My approach combines client centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and solution focused therapy. I look forward to working with you.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit is convenience and flexibility – you can connect with a licensed professional in the way that works best for you, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit regular therapy into a busy schedule. Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and if you decide you want a different fit, you may switch to another therapist at any time. Online therapy can offer a practical way to access skilled support for many common mental health and life concerns.
