Gladys Cano aims to help people navigate difficult and uncertain periods in their lives. She is passionate about supporting others and believes that every person has the capacity to make meaningful changes. She provides counseling to adults, couples, and families and approaches each case with care and respect.
Her clinical work centers on cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and strength-based therapy. These approaches are used to foster positive change and to help restore balance in daily life. Gladys works with clients in an enthusiastic and professional manner and looks forward to meeting and collaborating with those seeking support.
Gladys has more than 25 years of experience working with English- and Spanish-speaking clients. She is familiar with the challenges faced by Latino immigrants, including the effort to raise a family and build a life within a different culture.
She earned a master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston University in 1994 and is a licensed clinical social worker in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Gladys is also retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 21 years of service, during which she worked with soldiers and their families through various stages of deployment.
