Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a psycho-spiritual counsellor so work with all aspects of the human psyche which includes our spiritual body (as well as the mental, emotional and physical). I use talking and somatic therapies to support healing and moving forward. I have specialised in Inner Child Therapy, helping adults explore their relationship with themselves, their past, and others. This work can be especially supportive for those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, codependency, trust or intimacy challenges, and patterns of acting in or acting out.
My therapy style is warm, creative, and collaborative. Counsellors in general work shorter term with clients which means I include psycho-education to empower you. I am not clinical, so rather than a label I am more interested in your experience which as Carl Rodgers would say is our highest authority. My approach combines creative counselling, ecotherapy, and psychospiritual psychology, tailored to your unique needs and circumstances and online delivery methods.
Previous careers have included the armed forces, first responder work, science teacher, animal behaviourist and kinship foster carer.
It takes courage to seek healing and change. If you are ready to reconnect fully with yourself and feel empowered, I am here to support you — online or by telephone — as you take those steps toward a more fulfilling life.

Georgina McBurney is a psycho-spiritual counsellor who works with all aspects of the human psyche, including the spiritual dimension alongside the mental, emotional and physical parts of a person.
She combines talking therapies with somatic approaches to support healing and onward movement. Georgina has specialised in Inner Child Therapy, helping adults explore their relationship with themselves, their past and with other people. This work is often supportive for those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, codependency, difficulties with trust or intimacy, and repeated patterns of acting in or acting out.
Her therapeutic style is warm, creative and collaborative. Because she often works in shorter-term counselling, Georgina includes psycho-education to help people feel more empowered. She does not prioritise clinical labels – she is more interested in each person’s experience as the guide for therapy.
Her approach blends creative counselling, ecotherapy and psychospiritual psychology and is tailored to an individual’s circumstances and needs. Georgina offers therapy delivered online and by telephone.
Before training as a counsellor she held roles in the armed forces, first responder work, as a science teacher, as an animal behaviourist and as a kinship foster carer. She is a female, older, non-religious therapist based in the United Kingdom and has 10 years of experience.
Seeking healing and change takes courage. If someone is ready to reconnect more fully with themselves and feel empowered, Georgina McBurney is available to support them online or by telephone as they take steps toward a more fulfilling life.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered remotely can make a real difference. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can meet with a therapist in the way that suits them best – via video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging – making it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they would prefer a different fit. Online delivery can make therapy more accessible while preserving the professional support people seek for common mental health and relationship concerns.
