All patients are highly respected and addressed to their individual sensitivity with the utmost treatment of compassion by me. My dialogue is to try to meet the patient’s specific /unique needs. In other words, I am here to “try” to “help” the individual.
I am a good listener and readily believe change can happen; with small steps. If you are willing to accept my support and guidance , I will be here for you.

Originally from Greenwich, Connecticut, she has lived in many locations around the world because of her husband’s military and civilian careers. Her husband is retired from the U.S. Air Force and continues to serve on call with the Reserves. They are parents of three adult daughters and have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her practice has included clients from diverse ethnic, cultural, economic, and religious backgrounds, with primary focus areas that include alcohol and drug concerns, child abuse and neglect, spousal abuse (domestic violence), parenting difficulties, grief, and issues related to death and dying. She has many years of experience working with military families and service members across all ranks.
Dr. Vrtiak blends cognitive-behavioral and humanistic approaches within an eclectic framework to meet clients’ unique needs. She approaches each person with respect and sensitivity and provides compassionate care tailored to individual concerns. She is a listening clinician who believes meaningful change can occur through small steps, and she offers support and guidance to those who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process.
For many common concerns—including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes—online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. This makes remote care a practical option for people seeking support for these issues.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists using the format that best fits their life: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That adaptability often makes it easier to maintain consistent engagement with therapy.
Licensed professionals provide online therapeutic services, and if someone feels a different match would be better, it is possible to change therapists. For many people confronting everyday mental health challenges, online therapy offers an accessible and effective route to support and progress.
