Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, my name is Gail Black. I have been working in counseling since 2000. My twenty years in my profession has given me invaluable insights into the strengths of individuals I have counseled. I have found that people have a remarkable ability to persevere through tremendous adversity. The most valuable tool utilized to address adversity is the person’s ability to be vulnerable. Being vulnerable translates into embracing the counseling process. Embracing the counseling process will look different for each person. But the most common and yet poignant factor is honesty with oneself. Having gained these insights has molded the way in which I counsel.
My theoretical framework for counseling is solution focused. My philosophy is that people have the answer to their problems. When someone is both open to the counseling process and has the capacity to be honest with oneself, they have the foundational framework to resolve their problems. Having gained this insight, I utilized counseling sessions as an opportunity to allow clients to talk and reflect on the content of their conversation. This process allows clients to analyze their problem, categorize different aspects of their problem, and then brainstorm ways on how to solve the problem.

She holds professional counseling licenses to practice in both Missouri and Arizona, and she applies that training to offer practical, compassionate care for individuals seeking change.
Her therapeutic stance is solution-focused and built on the belief that clients often possess the insight needed to address their own difficulties. Gail emphasizes the importance of vulnerability as an entry point to meaningful growth, and she sees honesty with oneself as central to making progress in therapy.
In sessions she provides space for clients to talk and reflect on their experiences, helping them examine a problem, separate its different elements, and brainstorm concrete ways to move forward. That reflective process guides clients toward manageable strategies and clearer next steps.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adapting to life changes, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It offers a way to access mental health support that fits into everyday life.
One of the key benefits is flexibility – clients can connect with a therapist in the format that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to schedule care around work, family, and other commitments.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists if they decide a different approach or fit would be better. For many people, this combination of professional support and practical convenience helps make sustained progress more achievable.
