Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
If you’re reaching out to a therapist, you’re needing something better in your life. You’re not willing to go on the way things are, and you have the hope and determination that things can and must change. You need someone who can help you achieve that change. You don’t need someone who will just tell you what you want to hear, or who will listen but not know what to do. You need someone who has the ability to get you to that better place in your life.
I have the training, compassion, and experience to help you get there. For couples, I’m trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. These are two of the best-researched, most effective couples therapy methods out there, and I have seen beautiful results in my clients. I also see many individuals, as well as families.
I’ve also been there. I know what depression feels like, and I’ve struggled with a difficult marriage and divorce. I’ve been to therapy myself, learned a lot, done the work, and have gotten to my own better place. My passion and my reason for becoming a therapist is to help others benefit from what I’ve learned. My training has given me the skills to do that. I won’t judge you, and you won’t hear, “Well, just get over it!” from me.
If you want Christian counseling, let me know. If you prefer non-religious therapy, I am comfortable with that as well. Either way, you will have my full attention and my best effort.

Frances Patton meets people who are ready for change and refuses to let them settle for the status quo. She recognizes that reaching out for therapy often stems from a clear hope and determination that life can and must improve, and she focuses on guiding clients toward concrete, lasting progress rather than offering platitudes.
She combines clinical training, compassion, and practical experience to help clients move to a better place. Frances is trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy – two well-researched approaches to couples work – and she has seen powerful results with both methods. She works with couples, individuals, and families, tailoring interventions to each situation.
Patton draws on personal experience as well. She has experienced depression, navigated a difficult marriage and subsequent divorce, and has been in therapy herself. Those experiences inform her empathy and commitment to the therapeutic process and are part of why she chose this profession.
She holds licensure as a marriage and family therapist in both South Carolina and North Carolina and brings 13 years of clinical experience to her practice. Her approach is caring and nonjudgmental – she avoids dismissive responses and focuses on practical, collaborative work to help clients reach their goals.
Frances provides both faith-informed Christian counseling when requested and non-religious therapy for those who prefer that route. She offers support for stress, anxiety, relationship and intimacy concerns, self-esteem and depression, family conflict and trauma, grief, eating and sleeping difficulties, parenting challenges, anger management, and coping with life changes.
Many people wonder whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions, research and clinical practice indicate that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One major advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their life and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain consistent treatment and to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical, effective route to addressing everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
