Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Mental health care is as important as medical care. We don’t go to podiatrist for eye issues or cardiologist for dental issues. Therapy is a lot of work and can be overwhelming at times. Sometimes the therapeutic process can be a steady pace, and other times it can feel like a slow crawl. Laughter, cries, and even anger can be a part of this process as well. Commitment starts with showing up, as we partner to take the next step and/or inch forward towards improvement, showing up becomes less difficult and commitment becomes stronger.
I can help you identify and reach your goals. I have significantly helped persons struggling to manage mental health symptoms including but not limited, Depression, Bi-polar, Borderline, PTSD, and anxiety. I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). My therapeutic approach is one where the client is the expert on themselves and I am the skilled clinician working with them towards their goals. I utilize many interventions, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). When working with those who have Intellectual Disability, I incorporate visual aides and activities. Finding the right therapist to help heal the mind is an important choice. I may be that one for you!

Fquira Johannes views mental health care as equally important to medical care and approaches therapy as collaborative, practical work. She recognizes that the therapeutic journey can move at different speeds – sometimes steady, sometimes feeling like a slow crawl – and that laughter, tears, and anger can all be part of progress. Commitment often begins with the simple act of showing up, and as she partners with clients to take the next step or inch forward, that commitment tends to grow stronger.
With 20 years of clinical experience, she helps people identify meaningful goals and develop strategies to reach them. She has supported individuals managing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, bipolar symptoms, borderline concerns, PTSD, anxiety, and substance-related issues. Her background also includes work with family conflicts, career difficulties, grief, trauma and abuse, eating and sleeping disorders, parenting concerns, ADHD, and other life stressors.
She holds licensure as a clinical social worker in multiple states, is credentialed as a clinical addiction specialist, and is trained to supervise clinicians. Her therapeutic stance treats the client as the expert on their own life while she brings clinical skill to help reach agreed upon goals. She uses many interventions and focuses on evidence-informed approaches, especially cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. When supporting people with intellectual disability, she incorporates visual aides and hands-on activities to make sessions more accessible.
Practicing from North Carolina, Fquira blends professional expertise with a warm, pragmatic style. Finding the right therapist is a personal decision, and she may be the clinician who can help a person move toward healing and practical change.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
A major benefit is flexibility. Clients can meet with their therapist using the format that best fits their routine and comfort level – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to weave therapy into a busy life.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and individuals who wish to try a different fit may switch therapists at any time. For many, the convenience and accessibility of remote sessions make consistent participation more achievable, supporting progress on goals and everyday coping strategies.
