Eve Marcus

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hello,

My name is Eve Pearson-Marcus. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia since 2009 and have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I’ve worked in hospitals, primary care clinics, met with clients in their homes, worked for a non-profit agency and counseling center, worked with soldiers and veterans in military settings, and had a private practice. In addition to my LCSW, I have also had a National Association of Social Work Advanced Credential in Case Management (C-ASWCM) in the past. That’s a fancy way of saying I’m good at connecting people with the resources they need!

I would describe my primary therapeutic style as Person-Centered, but also may use Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Solution-focused, Eclectic, & Feminist theories at times.

I have worked with a great variety of clients including individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBT issues, drug and alcohol issues, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and attention deficit, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorders. I have also worked with individuals with Highly Functioning Autism ( formerly Asperger’s Syndrome) personality disorders, sexual disorders including paraphiliacs, and pedophilia.

I’ve worked with many women during my career as a therapist and have always found it especially fulfilling to work with young people. Perhaps it’s because I was once a young woman facing many challenges of my own, or that I have two daughters of my own.

I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to feel alone when you’re depressed, anxious, or in emotional pain of any kind. Whatever you are feeling, believe me, your issues are very real. I commend you for seeking help, because it’s not an easy thing to do. People of all ages are struggling with careers, job loss, and financial worries. Loneliness is epidemic and was especially difficult during the pandemic as people were separated from important family, personal, and work relationships.

I believe in helping my clients bring their strengths forward and into the light. While it can be difficult, if not impossible, to acknowledge your strengths when you’re depressed, I can assure you everyone has strengths. We all need extra support at some point in our lives and I feel counseling should be as natural as going to the doctor, or even taking a college course. We are meant to always be learning, evolving, and improving ourselves.

Lastly, I am confident in my ability to help my clients and have an excellent clinical toolbox to share. I commit to providing my clients with a strong system of support, and will always provide an accepting, non-judgmental, caring and safe environment.

About

Eve Marcus is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Georgia with 14 years of clinical experience. She has provided services across hospitals, primary care clinics, in clients’ homes, with non-profit agencies and counseling centers, in military settings serving soldiers and veterans, and in private practice.

Her primary therapeutic approach is person-centered, and she often integrates cognitive behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, eclectic methods, and feminist perspectives when appropriate. She previously held an advanced case management credential from the National Association of Social Workers, reflecting additional training in connecting people with needed resources.

Over the course of her career she has worked with people facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, LGBT-related concerns, substance use challenges, schizophrenia, eating disorders, attention-related conditions including ADHD, highly functioning autism (formerly Asperger’s), personality disorders, and a range of sexual disorders. She has also addressed trauma, abuse, grief, family conflict, parenting and intimacy-related issues, sleeping and eating disorders, anger management, self-esteem and career difficulties, and compassion fatigue.

Marcus has worked extensively with women and finds it especially rewarding to support young people; she is also a parent of two daughters. She understands how isolating and overwhelming emotional pain can feel and recognizes that asking for help is a meaningful and courageous step.

Her practice emphasizes helping clients identify and build on their strengths, and she approaches counseling as an ongoing process of learning and growth – similar to seeing a doctor or taking a course. Marcus brings a broad clinical toolkit and a commitment to offering supportive, non-judgmental, caring care within a safe therapeutic environment.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and experience indicate that these issues often respond well to virtual treatment.

One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the format that best fits their schedule and comfort level – whether by video, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to maintain consistent care amid busy lives.

All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and if someone decides the match is not right they have the option to switch to a different therapist. For many individuals, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to address mental health concerns while keeping treatment integrated into daily life.
