Esther Mordant is a psychodynamic therapist registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) in the United Kingdom, bringing seven years of professional practice. Her background in higher education and business informs a considered and practical approach to therapeutic work.
She works with individuals, couples and young people aged 12-21, offering support for stress and anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, and coping with grief and loss. Esther aims to create an open, empowering space where thoughts, memories and feelings can be explored freely, with an emphasis on growth and problem resolution within a safe and supportive environment.
Working psychodynamically, she pays attention to the unconscious - including gut feelings, intuitions, dreams and moments of insight - and she takes an active interest in clients’ childhoods, relationships with parental families and any generational patterns or traumas that may be present.
Esther welcomes people of all ages who are committed to change, particularly those facing difficult circumstances who wish to overcome them and grow through the process. She holds certificates in couple counselling, bereavement counselling and adoption-support counselling in addition to her professional qualifications. When not in private practice she volunteers with two counselling charities supporting young people.
